K2OPS: Kids Keeping Our Planet Safe
St. Nicholas prides itself in being a leader in the way we treat the Earth. We currently hold a Gold level Ecoschool status as part of the Ontario Ecoschool’s program. There are many initiatives at the school that we as a school community participate in on a day to day basis. Some of these include waste free lunches and using reusable water bottles. In order to support these initiatives, you as parents have to purchase the products. Next year, the school would like to add to our schoolyard greening with some more shade trees, and if possible, some raised garden beds. Well, we have a win – win situation here. A company called Givalry Canada runs fundraising programs for schools and has many products to help make life easier, including litterless lunch products, baby and kid products, and wellness products. The best part of this is that the school receives back 25% of all purchases made. This fundraiser will run through the summer until the end of September. Students will be coming home with a bookmark reminder of this fundraiser. Also, you can click on the link here: https://givalry.ca/ . Type in the name of our school as the organization you are supporting and have fun shopping

A Message From St. Michael’s Parish Pastoral Associate for Schools and Youth Ministry, Andrea Laughlin:

Is your child entering grade 7 in the 2018-2019 school year? Please be advised that Confirmation Preparation will begin promptly in September in anticipation of a Fall/Winter 2018 Confirmation date.
